The city of Solo offers a long array of cultural heritages to explore. Additionally shopping for distinctive products with very strong influence of Javanese cultural heritage – especially batik and wooden furniture – can be a reason to stay even longer.

Most visitors started their cultural exploration from Keraton Surakarta, the royal palace built in 1745. Journey can then continued to other attractions – mostly connected to the keraton – nearby including The Royal Mosque, Palace Craftmen, and The Mangkunegaran Palace.

Shopping adventure can be started from Pasar Klewer which consedered as the busiest textile market on the island, Triwindu flea market, and the central market of Pasar Gede.

At night you can visit the city’s largest amusement and culinary night market at Sriwedari area.
